Family Promise is a nonprofit committed to helping low-income families achieve lasting independence.
The problem of poverty is complex. It won’t yield to a simple solution or a quick fix. It requires an integrated approach that begins with meeting immediate needs but reaches much further to help people achieve independence and to alleviate the root causes of poverty.
Joaquin, Felicia, and Reyanna – There are three words that come to mind when I think what Family Promise means to our family. Healing, Hope, and Happiness. Family Promise gave us our hope back, by giving us a warm safe place to start a new. They gave us the skills to overcome homelessness and the opportunity to achieve our goals. They gave our family happiness.
Jerry, Michelle, Jacob, and Zachary - Are very happy in their new home at Salvation Army transitional housing. With Jerry back to work, children loving their school, all is good, “thanks to Family Promise.”
